Sara Cramer
As an interdisciplinary artist, Sara Cramer works with many different overlapping and interlocking concepts, investigating contemporary craft, design, and function. Her interests range from fashion and interior design to bookbinding. She is skilled in multiple materials and processes including letterpress, photography, fibers, papermaking, screen printing, sculpture and installation art. Her materials of choice include wood, pattern, paper, metal, color, fabric, vintage, and repurposed.
Sara graduated from The Kansas City Art Institute with a BFA in Interdisciplinary Studies and a background in graphic design. Since, she has been granted tuition for the Artist Inc. professional development class, awarded twice at the 2010 IIDA Color and Couture Fashion Show, and won the 2010 KCPL Holiday Windows on Main Street competition.
Currently, Sara is focusing on opening her studio/gallery space (504 E 18th ST) in the Crossroads Art District for First Fridays. Her latest project is a jewelry collection featured at the loft, sold locally at Latte Land downtown, at Cartwheel: A Mobile Retail Space, and online at Etsy and BigCartel.
