"I often find myself restless at night, wandering streets and alleyways in the dark, with a camera in hand. The glow from lights and shadows that are cast create shapes and compositions that exist only in these dark hours. Light and shadows change with every step I take—only staying still when I stop walking. I tune into the stillness. I tune into the abstract play of dark and illumination. Capturing these moments in black and white helps focus on the context of the photos, letting the light and shadows tell the story without introducing the distraction of fine detail, sharp focus, or color.
This series was shot on an iPhone using the Hipstamatic app, using the 'BlackKeys SuperGrain' film and the 'Americana' lens available within the app. No editing or post-processing was performed to any of the photos for a minimalistic approach and raw in-camera style."
Prints in this series are one-time single edition (1/1) prints.
Opening Reception on Friday, September 5th, from 6:00-10:00pm
